We are a publishing house with a list of 28 titles developed in writing workshops led by Free River Press director Robert Wolf. We have conducted these across the USA since 1999. Our goal is to create a collective autobiography of America. We produce a weekly half-hour radio program, American Mosaic Radio with Robert Wolf. American Mosaic features the stories written in Free River Press workshops and, with few exceptions, recorded by the authors. Since 2016 we have been advocating for the regional decentralization of rural economies and cultures, focusing on the Driftless region of the Upper Midwest. We are joined by county economic developers and city managers in this region to promote The Agricultural City Project.
