Volunteers have been crucial to the success of two Free River Press projects. For eight years students at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa have been responsible for recording and editing the episodes of American Mosaic Radio with Robert Wolf. In 2010, a senior communications class, as their second semester project, mapped out a marketing strategy for Free River Press. In 2020, Luther sophomore Katie MacDonald began expanding Free River Press’s media presence.
In 2014-15 AmeriCorps volunteers helped with the visioning and launch of The Agricultural City Project.
Joe Jonas, a Decorah resident, helped give vision to the Agricultural City Project.
